SERVER ISSUES.
|
Many
have noticed that both the Tornado and forum have been
unavailable for the last week.
This
is due to an issue with the current server which hosts
both the RAFvirtual site and the DSB website.
DSB
Design would like to assure you that we are working
on both items as a priority and both the forum and Tornado
should be available within the next 7-10 days. All we
ask is that you're paitent until that time.
The
Tornado is currently undergoing continued development
with a Virtual Cockpit likely to be included shortly.
Until that time we will release it to Simviation.com
within the next few days. A model patch will be made
available on Simvation.com as soon as the virtual cockpit
and updates are complete.
A
full version will appear on flightsim.com when the aircraft
is complete

DSB
Design originally planned for a large update on the

award winning Eurofighter Typhoon package, complete
with DSB Design's 'special livery' texture pack.
Other
items included will be a number of additional paintschemes
from contributing artists, plus a new updated panel,

seat aircraft, and a number of visual models featuring

Hawk Development completes stage 1.
| Designed
primarily for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 'A Century
of Flight', DSB Design's first retail product, HAWK
has completed the first stage of development. The intitial
stafe consists of compatibility testing of
a basic exterior build on
a number of systems running both FS2002 & FS2004.
The
HAWK product is a complete rebuild from start to finish
in GMax, and a major first for product manager David
Brice who has until now done the majority of work in
FSDS and ported to GMax for adjustments. David was recently
known to disclose that the development time has been
significantly reduced using only one program, and that
he has been enthusiastic about the results so far.
"I've
always had a fondness for the Hawk aircraft. Part of
me has a special attachment, as it was as a result of
Mikko Malniemi's kind generousity which lead to my first
GMax project being created." many may remember
David's GMax conversion of Mikko's popular Hawk aircraft
for FS2002.
David
is also clearly pointing out that the new retail hawk
is in no way related to previous work of Mikko Maliniem,
"It's a completely new model from the ground up,
I felt that it was time for DSB Design and myself to
create a quality Hawk product entirely on our own merit."
The
testing aircraft currently are the Hawk T1a and Mk 100
variants. Work on the 200 variant and T-45 Goshawk is
scheduled to begin within the next 7-10 days, providing
no major issues are revealed with the initial testing.
A
number of screen shots can be found in the Work
In Progress section.

Apologies:
Eurofighter Omission
|
When
I released the Eurofighter Typhoon, I forgot to include
the gentleman who created the xml gauge which controls
the afterburner effect control. The file named DSBAburner.xml
contains code written by Rob Barendregt from the Netherlands.
As
requested by Rob, I have updated the Eurofighter page
to include full credit for his work. As a designer it
was my responsibility to check these things prior to
release and as such I'm offering a public apology to
Mr Barendregt for use of his work without gaining prior
written consent.
